A remodel and extension of a private hillside villa in Cabrils, just outside Barcelona. The scheme responds to the drama of the Mediterranean landscape — a terraced, split-level arrangement with expansive glazed facades, clean white rendered elevations, and generous outdoor terracing set amongst mature planting. The design balances the relaxed informality of the Catalan countryside with a refined contemporary sensibility, creating a home that opens fully to its setting whilst retaining a calm, considered interior quality. V+D managed the project across all design stages, working in close collaboration with a local architect to navigate the Spanish planning and licensing process.
